beginning of the year with an option to pay

Roofing Material Variance
The ACC has
approved a variance for one homeowner to use
an alternative to cedar shakes, which are
very expensive and can be a fire hazard. The
Board considered offering high-quality
alternatives to the community. For example,
pumpkin-tooth cut shingles offer better
texture than less expensive varieties and
are more durable than shakes.
If we include
approved materials in the homeowner rules by
brand, weight and wind rating and publish a
list of minimum requirements on the web, we
can then require homeowners to submit their
individual plans to the ACC for approval.
It was moved,
seconded and approved to ask the ACC to
provide examples of acceptable roofing
choices for us to review for Board approval
